Personal Injury Lawyers
Disputes between plaintiffs and defendants are as old as recorded history. Because each party has a
vested financial interest in influencing the final outcome, virtually all insurance companies provide their
policy holders access to personal injury lawyers who are skilled in claim defense. For injury victims, the choice made when selecting an attorney is the single most influential factor
determining success, or failure, when competing with defense attorneys for a fair settlement. Any imbalance
in skill invites exploitation.
Specialization of personal injury lawyers
All state bar associations offer certificates of legal specialization for personal injury lawyers. No
attorney is required to apply for certification - participation is voluntary. Nevertheless, by qualifying
and proving a high degree of legal expertise and experience, each client is assured certified attorneys are
well versed in accident, settlement, and litigation matters. Specialization normally includes additional written examinations conducted by the state bar, and at least
several positive recommendations of attorneys who opposed the applicant in trial. Many other attorneys (not
certified) voluntarily limit their practices to serious accidents. Through years of experience arguing cases to juries, these attorneys may amass outstanding reputations
with the local judiciary and bar associations. If you must chose between certified attorneys and trial
attorneys known for excellence, always select proven performance.
